DESCRIPTION:THE BOARD OF GUILFORD CARES\nLeah Gessner serves as the Executive Director of Guilford Cares\, and you will reach her on the contact page of Guilford Cares at https://www.guilfordcares.com/contact-gc. \nIf you would like to bring an issue to the board\, or simply attend a meeting\, please contact Leah Gessner to make sure you have the correct time and location. The Board will welcome your input. \nAnne Montgomery serves at the Board President.  Pat Haine serves on the Board and manages the community Food Pantry.  Richard Chapin holds down the post of Treasurer. DESCRIPTION:The Recreation Commission meets at the Town Office on the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm.  Members of public are welcome. \nVisit our website:  guilfordrecreation.org \nThe Guilford Recreation Commission fosters community connections and well-being for our town by supporting our public spaces and by collaborating with other community organizations to offer engaging\, inclusive\, recreational activities\, designed to meet the needs of our neighbors. \nDONATE to Guilford Recreation\nAnnual Events\n\n​Bike Night\nCommunity Picnic\nTrunk or Treat\n​​WinterFest\n\nProjects\n \n\nOpen Gym\nOutdoor Playgroup\nB3 Baseball\nNatural Playscape\nHaunting of Guilford\nBill Koch Nordic Trails\n\nThe purpose of Guilford’s Recreation Commission is to encourage\, coordinate\, and support a system of public recreation for the Town.  The system will include providing for team and independent sports\, promoting public awareness of activities and resources\, and reporting annually to the Town on goals and achievements.  To this end\, the Recreation Commission\, together with the Conservation Commission and other Town bodies and residents\, will plan for and inventory safe byways\, publicize recreational resources\, and monitor the impact of current and future recreational facilities and activities on land value and usage\, among other tasks.  \nMore about town meetings can be found at https://guilfordvt.gov/boards-and-commissions/recreation-commission.
