GUILFORD CEMETERY COMMISSION MEETING
THURSDAY 16 MAY 2024  9:30 AM TOWN OFFICE

Cemetery Commissioners Present:
Nancy Detra, Eric Morse, Kyle Parker, Carol Schnabel

Absent:
Eric Feindel

Selectboard Liaison:
Verandah Porche

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 9:35 a.m.

Approval of Minutes:
The minutes were approved as submitted.

Additions or Changes to Order of Agenda:
Up-date on Blanchard Tree.
Cremains to be buried.

New Business:
Assess condition of Carpenter Cemetery- Kyle reported it is good- Rory has done an awesome job.  Kyle installed the sign.  

We discussed the other Town cemeteries and decided to go to Wilkins in June. Stark has a large limb that came down and needs to be removed.  Blanchard is in pristine condition.  We have been told that Anson Baldwin will be coming to take down the tree soon.  We will notify people who may want to know about this.  

A family with a previously purchased gravesite wants to add cremains, we discussed the procedure.  

We distributed flags to put out before Memorial Day.  Carol requested we keep track of how many we need at each cemetery.  

Discussions, up-dates:
Nancy communicated with the person who contacted us about a green burial site.  She will follow up.  

Actions to be taken:
Verandah will get in touch with people with family members at Blanchard who might want to know about the tree removal.

Eric will contact Art about Wilkins 2.
