GUILFORD CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES

                   December 18, 2025.      5:30 pm

Call to Order. 5:36pm

Attending- L. Hecker, J. Farr, A. Montgomery in person

                 S. Bonthron, K. Shea, A. Lacy via Zoom

Absent- S. Soszynski, B. Jewell

Guest- Uriel Najera,Town Clerk via Zoom

  • Discussion with Town Clerk to establish general lines of communication and to be able to share the work of the GCC with town’s people, to update us on Land Posting and other Statutes and regulations, and to modify our web page as needed.
  • October Minutes approved unanimously by roll call and October Action Steps reviewed
  • Budget Request to town discussed and voted unanimously to ask for $850 for coming year, based on this year’s expenses.
    New Treasurer appointment pending.
  • Follow up Commission Retreat (to discuss goals and new projects) scheduled for April
  • Beaver Action Group update- 4 public educational events scheduled for January through April
  • Natural Resource Inventory (NRI) sales and promotion discussed
  • GCC voted to co-sponsor a Bio-Blitz Nature Challenge with the Brattleboro Conservation Commission in April
  • Meeting adjourned at 6:55 pm. January meeting canceled due to travel conflicts, February meeting 2/19/26.
