Guilford Conservation Walk – June

The Guilford Conservation Commission is planning a series of exploratory walks on lands that Patti Smith highlights in Guilford’s 2023 Natural Resources Inventory. Landowners have given us permission to host these walks on their land. We hope you will join us!
Former French Farm on Guilford Center Road – June
This 72 acre parcel is part of the Ashworth forest block with nearly 1200 acres in Guilford. Our host will guide us around the wetlands, through the forestland, and under the VELCO powerline right of way that are all part of an important wildlife corridor in Guilford.
We can see an active beaver lodge at one end of the pond, and check out the red pine stand frequented by black bears.
