CEMETERY COMMISSION MEETING
THURSDAY 20 JUNE 2024  9:30 AM  MAPLEHURST CEMETERY

Cemetery Commissioners Present:
Eric Feindel, Eric Morse, Carol Schnabel

Absent:
Nancy Detra, Kyle Parker

Selectboard Liaison Present:
Verandah Porche

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 9:35 a.m.

Approval of Minutes:
The minutes were approved as submitted.

New Business:
We assessed the condition of Maplehurst Cemetery.  It looks really nice.
Sign installation postponed.

Old Business:
The tree at Blanchard still needs to be removed.  Verandah spoke to some of the relatives of people buried at Blanchard.

Discussions, Up-dates:
Verandah has spoken to the son of the person whose cremains will be interred in the family lot at Carpenter Cemetery.  

Eric reported about the meeting with the elderly man who would like a green burial at Maplehurst.  

Carol requested a count of flags used at the cemeteries and was given that.  

Actions to be Taken:
Carol will contact Kyle for news about Blanchard tree removal.  

Carol will get in touch with VOCA to see about getting on their 2025 calendar.

Verandah will get back to the family who plans to bury their mother’s ashes at Carpenter Cemetery to get an up-date and to tell them that Rodney Bell may be of use.

Verandah will get in touch with Blanchard relatives once we know more.

Eric will make plans for next month’s meeting.
