Gordon Little updated the committee that he had a conversation with HCRS – they have a team
embedded in the VSP and BPD. They would be happy to meet with FD/Town to discuss
Erika gave an update on the community survey – overall theme that there is support for FD
support, not for traffic enforcement
Erika gave an update on the regional policing initiative by Mark Anderson – Erika explained the
model for regional policing
Broad discussion on next steps
Committee agreed informally that based on real options available from the Sheriff, the budgeted
amount, and public feedback that at this time there isn’t a good solution to the Town’s needs
within our limitations.
