The Bullock Scholarship
The Town of Guilford is pleased to announce that the Bullock Education Fund is offering higher education grants to Guilford residents who are currently enrolled in or planning to attend an institution of higher education. The scholarships may be used to defray the student’s expenses at any 2-year, 4-year, post graduate or technical college program.
The requirements for application:
- Must be a Guilford resident
- Include a letter of acceptance from the educational institution
- Include a record of community service
- Include most recent official academic record
- Include 2 letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement: Briefly describe your reasons for applying to the Bullock Education Fund. Please share your goals and any special circumstance you would like the committee to consider.
- If the student is reapplying, include the academic record from the current institution_
- Complete the Scholarship Request cover sheet. It is critical that all the
information be submitted. ALL materials are to be labeled with the applicant’s name

Completed applications must be returned to the Guilford Town Office by May 7th, 2026. (The town office is closed on Fridays.) Completed applications can also be submitted via email to Elly Majonen at treasurer@guilfordvt.gov. Please make sure you have a completed cover sheet with your application.
