CEMETERY COMMISSION MEETING
THURSDAY 18 JULY 2024 CARPENTER CEMETERY

Cemetery Commissioners Present:
Nancy Detra, Eric Feindel, Eric Morse, Carol Schnabel
Absent:
Kyle Parker
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m.
Recognition of Public:
We welcomed Art McEvily.
Approval of Minutes:
The minutes were approved as submitted.
New Business:
Art led us on a trail on his property to see the historic Wilkins II Cemetery. We explored the
area and located a number of graves. Not much is known about this cemetery. It is mentioned
on page 408 of the Official History of Guilford VT. We made a plan to return and do some more
clean up in the future.
The VOCA Fall meeting is Saturday September 28 in Cornwall VT at the Historic Meeting
House at the intersection of Routes 30 and 74. Program to be determined.
Carol will see what we can do to get us on their 2025 schedule.
Old Business:
We discussed getting the remaining signs up at cemeteries.
Kyle will be informed by Baldwin Tree Service before they take down the tree at Blanchard
Cemetery so that we can notify the interested parties.
Nancy will get back to the person looking to buy a cemetery plot.
Actions to be Taken:
Nancy will get back to the person mentioned above.
Eric will choose a spot for that burial.
Carol will contact VOCA
Adjournment:
