Conservation Commission Special Meeting Agenda, 07.20.2023

Conservation Commission Special Meeting Agenda
July 20, 2023

The Guilford Conservation Commission will not hold a regular meeting during July of 2023. Instead, we are devoting July to meetings of sub-committees and work sessions on the Carriage Trail in the Weeks Forest.

Members of the public are welcome to join our efforts controlling invasive plants along the Carriage Trail at any time.  We are particularly focused on keeping in check invasive barberry, garlic mustard, bittersweet and the ever-present poison ivy.

The following sub-committees are meeting throughout July to work on on-going projects:

  • Wildlife Corridor signage: selecting warning signs in conjunction with Guilford Road Crew
  • Natural Resource Inventory editing: revising and reformatting the Natural Resource Inventory to prepare it for posting on town website by the end of summer
  • Nature Apps Workshop: creating presentations and activities for a public workshop at Broad Brook Community Center on Saturday, August 19

Members of the public are welcome to participate in the work of the sub-committees. Contact lrhecker47@gmail.com for updated information about meeting schedules.
