Auditors Meeting Minutes 4.23.25

AUDITORS MEETING

The Auditors of the Town of Guilford met in the Town Office on Wednesday, April 23, at 4:23 PM.

Present: Lyndsey Mitchell, Reita Lashway, Elly Majonen and Cathi Wilken

Selected Cathi Wilken as chair.

Discussed communication methods, probably using Zoom often for meetings.

Discussed training available, particularly VLCT’s statewide auditors training in the fall.

Developed a work plan to meet in July by Zoom to review quarterly budget status reports. Elly will send out those reports a week earlier.

Discussed working with the Town Office staff and the professional auditor.

The Town Treasurer discussed the budget and payroll and some expectations.

Reviewed the Budget Status reports of the highway fund  (009) and the general fund (003).

Meeting ended at 5:37PM.

The purpose of this meeting is to: Select a chair; Decide communication, (phone, mail, email, zoom); Get info on training available; Develop a work plan; Discuss working with the professional auditor.

In the second half we’ll meet with the Town Treasurer to discuss expectations, budget, payroll, and review the Budget Status reports of the highway fund  (009) and the general fund (003).
