GUILFORD CEMETERY COMMISSION MEETING
THURSDAY 21 MARCH 2024 9:30 AM TOWN OFFICE

Cemetery Commissioners Present:
Nancy Detra, Eric Feindel, Eric Morse, Kyle Parker, Carol Schnabel

Selectboard Liaison:
Verandah Porche

Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 am

Recognition of Public:
Taylor Franklin

Approval of Minutes:
The minutes were approved as submitted

New Business:
We welcomed Eric Feindel and Carol will up-date our contact list to include him.
We elected Kyle as Chair and Carol as secretary.
Carol noticed some things on the Town website that need to be corrected.  
Mowing bill submitted- we discussed that.  
Eric brought a new cemetery deed.  It could not be signed and recorded because Danielle was sick, Carol will follow up.

Old Business:
More discussion about forest cemetery.
Discussed more about records kept at Town Office.

Discussions, up-dates:
The tree at Blanchard still needs to be removed.
Carol spoke to Cathy Hunt about the articles we discovered relating to the West Guilford Church and Cemetery.  
We discussed re-instituting a workday with school.  Taylor also suggested it could be done on a weekend as a family day.  

Actions to be taken:
Kyle will contact Elly about the mowing bill and he will do some research related to that.
Carol will send corrected information for the Town website.  
Nancy and Verandah will do more research on forest burials.  
Kyle will check back in with Anson Baldwin about the tree removal.
