GUILFORD CONSERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES
FEBRUARY 19, 2026. 5 pm

Call to Order 5:03 pm
Attending- Linda Hecker, Steve Soszynski, Josh Farr, Bill Jewell,
Alex Lacy, Anne Montgomery in person, Susan Bonthron via Zoom

December 2025 Minutes approved unanimously

December Action Steps reviewed

New appointment- Steve Soszynski as Treasurer

Town Meeting (Saturday February 28) GCC Table plans discussed

Upcoming Beaver Events- March 17 and April 22 presentations

Bio-Blitz City and Small Town Challenge- GCC to co-sponsor with the

Brattleboro Conservation Commission on Sat April 25

Conservation efforts update- local farm conservation initiatives reviewed by
involved GCC members

2026 GCC Projects- Monthly Community Walks planned May through
October with themes such as invasives, wetlands, and important forest blocks as identified in the Natural Resources Inventory (NRI)
