*Call to order. 5:35 pm
Attending- Linda Hecker , Steve Soszynski, Bill Jewell, Susan
Bonthron, Anne Montgomery. Linda Lembke Guest.
Absent- Alex Lacy, Josh Farr, Katie Shea
*Adjust Agenda to accommodate Linda Lembke updates:

  1. Deerfield River Watershed Alliance applying for Wild and Scenic
    River designation, likely to include the Green River tributary
  2. Green River Watershed Alliance working to reclassify the River
    status as A1. Education and public outreach included
  3. Vermont Coverts Training to encourage community education of
    sound forest management through guest speakers, walks,
    events
    Linda Lembke requested reimbursement of $43.22 for paper for more
    Weeks Forest Trail Guides. 1900 copies of Guide have been printed
    since 2016, with an update prepared in 2025. Request unanimously
    approved.
    *August Minutes approved unanimously and Action Steps reviewed
    *Monthly CC walk scheduled for 9/20 at Josh Farr’s property, with rain
    date on 9/27
    *NEFF Winter Harvest- walk with NEFF Forester planned for 9/29 to
    answer questions. Carriage Trail will be excluded from harvest due to
    historic nature
    *AVCC Updates- various updates discussed and Annual Dues
    Payment ($50) unanimously authorized
    *AVCC Tiny Grant ideas discussed. Applications due April 2027
  • Extractigator Tool borrowing protocols finalized, to include waiver
    form, user video and notice in next Guilford Gazette
  • Priorities for GCC 2027 brainstormed- possibilities include a guest
    speaker series, field programs/walks, use of nature apps
    *October GCC Meeting to be held on 10/22 instead of 10/15 due to
    attendance conflicts
