The Conservation Fund, administered by the Guilford Conservation Commission, was established in 2023 to provide resources to the town and to landowners who want to conserve their land.  Initially seeded by money transferred from Sweet Pond Fund, it can accept individual donations and is supported by proceeds from sales of the Natural Resources Inventory. It can be used to support the fees associated with conservation easements or to acquire conserved land for the town, typically in the form of a Town Forest. Landowners can learn about the application process for funding through the Conservation Commission or the Town Treasurer.
