Recreation Commission Meeting Minutes 3.11.26

Guilford Rec Committee 3.11.26 Meeting

Minutes:

  1. Yoga group: great turnout
  2. Fiber Arts: great turnout
  3. Walking group: no one attending but still going to offer
  4. Sign Language meetup: no one has attended yet, but needing to get better at emailing ahead of time.
  5. Spanish Language meetup: needing to find someone to cohost in the community to make the group sustainable. Send an email to group to check in about cohosts.
  6. Meditation Group: BBCC said they would be happy to offer space. Ragan will email the meditation interested folks and find out about scheduling.
  7. Renewals: Meghan is renewing and will remain CHAIR; Kelsey will continue and renew; Ellen will renew
  8. Intramurals: Kelsy is thinking of starting it when the weather warms up a bit. Thinking 1x a month holding a meetup. Thinking of starting with something easy: frisbee, softball, kickball. We have tons of wiffle balls.
  9. Spring Event: not going to do anything because other folks in the community are doing things. Maybe reaching out to Neighborhood Roots or the church and seeing if we can support in any way. We have money in the budget and have lots of supplies so we have the resources to help out other groups.
  10. Work Party for Shed Cleaning: May meeting at the shed to go through it.
  11. Guilford Gazette: Uriel is writing up some things for the next Gazette.
