Vehicles on town highways that weigh more than the posted weight limit are required to have a Uniform Municipal Excess Weight Permit. Permit applications are reviewed and approved (or denied) by the Road Commissioner.
- This permit is valid for up to one year expiring on March 31.
- You must provide a valid Certificate of Insurance in the amount of a minimum of
$100,000/$300,000 Personal Injury Liability Coverage and $100,000 Property Damage
Coverage. - Please include $5.00 for each single vehicle permit or $10 for a fleet permit
- This permit shall be carried in each vehicle during authorized movement. Fleet Permits are not required to be carried in truck.
