G. Little asked for clarity on the partnership between State Police and Windham County Sheriffs – Where does one start and one stop from an LE perspective?
B. Pettingill – VSP typically takes larger criminal cases – experiencing a trooper shortage. May be extended response or no response based on staffing
B. Pettingill – gave an overview of how that may work
Discussion of how on call works outside of contract hours
C. Carter to check to see if WCS has a mental health worker on staff
C. Carter to check in with WCS if they have an on call model with other towns or a proposed model?
Discussion over getting M. Anderson to a meeting even if it’s remotely
Survey questions:
Is there a preferred presence time?
What type of police services do we want to see? (rank in order of preference)
Speeding/aggressive driving
Patrolling/Presence/Community patrol/Deterrent
Emergency services support (fire rescue)

Community visibility (school presence, visibility at the school, bus stop)

G. Little would like clarity around what a mental health response looks like. Chip to look into with M. Anderson. Kraig to reach out to Anthony French.
Public comment: Expressing concern about what we are getting for the contract. That we did have sheriff services and it wasn’t well liked due to tickets written and went away. Asked that we be mindful of that.
