 Guilford Planning Commission Meeting Scheduled for 4.22.36 has been postponed to 4.29.26 due to commissioner availability. Any updates to the agenda will be made no later than 2 days prior to the meeting.

b. Legislative updates 

c. Potential actions the Planning Commission can take to advocate for land conservation/appropriate growth in Guilford at the State level. 

2. Special Meeting May 6, 6:30 pm at the BBCC-Planning Commission members and the public are encouraged to attend-10 minutes a. Article 1: Shall the Town of Guilford vote, pursuant to 24 V.S.A. § 4323, to provide that all members of the Planning Commission shall be elected by the voters of the Town rather than appointed, provided that members serving at the time of adoption shall continue to serve the remainder of their current terms, after which successors shall be elected in accordance with 24 V.S.A. § 4323 and other applicable Vermont law? 

b. Article 2: Shall the Town of Guilford vote that, if the members of the Planning Commission are elected by the voters of the Town of Guilford, rather than appointed, and the current members serve the remainder of their terms current terms, successors will be elected for three-year terms?

1. 2024 Strategic Plan Goal #3: Host Community Conversations around land use, housing, conservation, and planning issues, and review the available tools for conserving property as well as creating capacity for desirable growth.
