Recreation Commission Minutes, 01.11.2024

Members Attending: Meghan Arthur, Kelsy Allan, Elina Koumjian, Chris Zappala, Verandah Porche (Selectboard liaison)

Call to Order:  6:35 pm

The Commission addressed how it serves Guilford and how it can build its service to the town. Several long-term participants reviewed the history of the Rec. Commission, how it has worked and established programming in the past.

Roles of the Commission Chair and Secretary were reviewed.

The town has an active website and it was suggested the Rec. Commission more actively post to the site for greater visibility.

Several people have expressed interest in joining the commission and their names will be shared with the Commissioners. 

As part of the Recreation Commission’s self-reassessment, it has convened a meeting of several Guilford based recreational organizations to be held at the BBCC on Saturday, January 21, 2024, from 3 -5pm.

Meghan Arthur is creating an agenda for that meeting.

Rec. Commission members will review the town Recreation Website and make revisions and updates.

Elina Koumjian has been managing the distribution of the Nordic ski equipment. At meeting time, distribution was about half complete.
