Cemetery Commission Minutes for 10.22.26

CARPENTER HILL CEMETERY

Cemetery Commissioners Present:

Nancy Detra, Eric Morse, Kyle Parker, Carol Schnabel

Absent:

Eric Feindel

Selectboard Liaison Present:

Call to Order:

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m.

Recognition of Public:

We welcomed Siobhan Leonard who is hoping to replace Eric Feindel on the Cemetery Commission.  Siobhan told us a bit about herself. 

Approval of Minutes:

We approved the August minutes as submitted.

Old Business:

Eric Feindel has told us that he no longer has time to serve on the Cemetery Commission.  Siobhan Leonard has volunteered to replace him.  We voted to recommend to the Selectboard that Siobhan be appointed to the vacant seat.

911 numbers- We chose to get the numbers that Kyle recommended and authorized the spending of approximately $200 for the purchase of those numbers.

New Business:

We reviewed the budget numbers and approved the amount of $4500 to be submitted to the Selectboard for the next fiscal year.

We discussed changing the meeting times for April through October to 4 pm.  The winter meetings will remain at 9:30 a.m.

We assessed the condition of the Carpenter Cemetery.  There are lots of stones that need straightening as well as a recently broken stone.  We would like to schedule a work day for next spring.
