Conservation & Planning Commissions Special Joint Meeting, 06.15.2023

Invitation to attend Conservation Commission/Planning Commission special joint meeting

Guilford residents are warmly invited to attend a joint meeting of the Conservation and Planning Commissions on Thursday, June 15 at 6 pm on the second floor of the Broad Brook Community Center.

The framework for the meeting is ‘Making Connections.’ Dan Mallach and Emily Lewis, our Strategic Planning partners from Dubois and King, will lead off the agenda by reviewing highlights from the Guilford Natural Resources Inventory. This remarkable document (soon to be available on the Town website) can inform town-wide conversations regarding ways to  preserve Guilford’s character and ecology while shaping growth to serve the needs of businesses and demands for housing.

Other ‘connections’ are ripe for exploration in Guilford: creating a ‘recreation hub’ that links our network of trails and facilities, fostering synergies between local businesses, creating community garden space, just to name a few.

Public input to the Strategic Planning process is critical to its success and value to the community. Please join us on the 15th for what promises to be an engaging and dynamic evening.
